Twofour Rights celebratesÂ a double win at MIPTV International Format Awards 2019 for its show What Would Your Kid Do? with UK-based broadcaster ITV heralding a total three winning shows in four categories at the awards dinner at ClubC21 in Cannes.
Twofour and the commercial channel picked up four awards, including ‘Best Studio-Based Gameshow Format’ and ‘Best Factual Entertainment Format’ for its breakout series What Would Your Kid Do?
The show, produced by ITV Studios (ITVS) -owned Twofour subsidiary Boomerang and distributed by Twofour Rights, launched in the UK with 3.9 million viewers and has sold to nine territories, including recent local adaptations across Latin America and Russia.
The hit format recently returned to UK screens earlier this month, with a peaking audience of 3.2 million tuning in to watch more parents try to guess what their child will do when placed in real-world situations and challenges and then see their little angels in charge of picking the prizes if they reach the final. Its multi-dimensional appeal has also seen it become social media sensation with more than 250 million minutes viewed online and 200,000 subscribers.
ITV also picked up the prize for Best Returning Format for its reboot of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? from Sony Pictures Televisionâ€™s Stellify Media, and Best Brand Driven Format for Back To Mine from ITVS-owned Shiver.
