Twofour is delighted to announce the appointment of Seb Curtis as Director of Development. He joins the creative team led by David Brindley and Dan Adamson and will report to Brindley. Curtis will spearhead development across the Twofour slate of documentaries, factual entertainment and entertainment formats for both the UK terrestrials and global SVODs.
Curtis has an enviable track record in development. He joins from Twenty Twenty where he originated and developed Save Our Squad, a new six part Disney+ format, which sees David Beckham mentoring a failing East London grassroots youth football team.
Prior to working at Twenty Twenty, his career has taken him to Boundless, Voltage and BBC Studios, where he has developed titles such as An Hour To Save Your Life (BBC Two), Celebrity Painting Challenge (BBC One), Class of ‘92 (Cinematic Release), and The Big Family Cooking Showdown (BBC Two / Netflix).
David Brindley said: “I’m delighted to have Seb join the top team at Twofour. His energy, passion and smart thinking when it comes to a whole range of television is really impressive. His love of broad, engaging and warm-hearted formats chimes perfectly with ours – combine that with a cracking track record both in the UK and globally, I’m super excited about what we’re going to cook up together.”
Seb Curtis said: “The opportunity to work with David, Dan and some of the best programme makers out there was too good to miss. Their vision for the company is incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to be part of it. There has never been a more exhilarating time to be a factual producer and I’m looking forward to building on Twofour’s amazing track record and being a part of their next chapter.”
The appointment completes the executive creative team which includes the recent appointment of Louise Hutchinson in Entertainment, and Grace Reynolds in Documentaries.
Twofour’s slate over the past year has included high profile documentaries including Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency (BBC Three and BBC One) and Billy Monger’s Big Red Nose Day Challenge (BBC One), series such as Cornwall and Devon Walks with Julia Bradbury, Million Pound Pawn (ITV), Happy Campers (Channel 5), Educating Greater Manchester (Channel 4) as well as entertainment specials such as V Festival 2020 (ITV2) and One World: Together at Home (BBC One) at the height of the pandemic. Twofour is part of ITV Studios.
Curtis will join in May.
