Paul Tarplee, Managing Director of Digital Technology at the Twofour Group is set to speak out about the role of government broadcasting at Streaming Media Europe 2011.

The conference and exhibition is the only event in Europe to cover technology solutions and business models for online video – at work, on the move, and at home.

The event covers technical sessions, case-studies, how-to’s and panel discussions designed for content owners, video creators, online marketers, corporate communications professionals, agencies, broadcast, cable and satellite professionals, technology suppliers and manufacturers, and educators.

Paul will touch on editorial input and transparent access at a government live streaming level, the standards of video delivery with the benefits of HTML5 v Silverlight v Flash for different audiences and the technical considerations that prevent open standards that governments are currently demanding.

Also Paul will be discussing the use of online video by government offices across Europe as they aim to meet the needs of their constituents. The talk will focus on the unique needs of government film from the creation of the content to audience measurement and analytics.

As well as government streaming Paul will talk about reaching mobile audiences via a multi-platform world and the future use of IPTV and connected TV.

Alongside Paul, speakers include Ian Mecklenburgh, Director of Consumer Platforms and Devices at Virgin Media and Oliver Heckman, Engineering Director at You Tube Europe among many other specialists in the profession.
