Twofour Rights licences Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy into four continents

Twofour Rights has secured sales into North America, Australasia, Asia and Europe for four-part series, Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy.

TLN Canada, TVB in Hong Kong, BBC Worldwide in China and True Visions in Thailand has secured rights to air the show, as well as Foxtel’s The LifeStyle Channel in Australia and TVNZ in New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Nat Geo People will be airing the show in Italy, Fox International Channels has secured rights for Spain, and TV2 in Denmark and FTV Prima, spol. s r.o in Czech Republic have also licenced the series.

Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy embraces Alex’s lifelong love of Italy, providing a personal and revealing guide to this beautiful Mediterranean country. Across the series, Alex travels the nation, from north to south, taking in breath-taking cities like Venice, Milan and Rome. She travels along the stunning Amalfi coast before ending her journey unearthing hidden tourist gems in Puglia, Italy’s best kept secret. Alex’s secret guide will interweave the stories of her family heritage in the country with visits to the places that mean most to her – from the childhood holidays she spent in the foothills of Rome, to the places she worked in during her 20s.

Critically-acclaimed Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy was one of the channel’s highest indexing ABC1 peaktime commissions on Channel 5 across 2014.
