Twofour commissioned to produce Alex Polizzi For Hire
BBC Two has commissioned brand new series Alex Polizzi for Hire from Twofour.
One of the key things to a successful restaurant is finding the right chef. That’s why the champion of small businesses and star of The Fixer is now turning her attention to restaurants.
Having managed and opened numerous eateries, including the Criterion Brasserie in London for Marco Pierre White, Alex knows first-hand the recipe for success.
Alex Polizzi For Hire is a brand new 16 part series for BBC Two that aims to do just that. Each week, Alex will visit a different restaurant in the UK, from a gastro pub to a country inn, a city bistro to a coastal hotel, all of which are searching for a chef to transform the kitchen. Applicants will go head-to-head, proving their worth through a series of progressively challenging tasks.
In this business, there are no second chances and with only one vacancy to fill, can Alex help the restaurant owners make the right decision? Harnessing her extensive experience and no-nonsense approach, she will help restaurant owners find the perfect chef.
Alex Polizzi For Hire, produced by Twofour, was commissioned by Tom Edwards. It is executive produced by Twofour’s Dan Adamson, and Tom Edwards for the BBC.
