Last night, eight-part series Cornwall with Caroline Quentin drew to a close. The show has had outstanding success, gaining in excess of 4 million viewers across every episode, climbing to 4.6 million during last week’s episode 7. Comfortably securing over 14% of the audience share, the programme peaked with a phenomenal 18%.

The observational documentary series sees actress Caroline Quentin take in some of the delights of this beautiful and rugged county over the course of a Cornish summer.  Each episode included stories about life in some of the county’s most scenic towns and villages and features characters from its communities. The beautiful scenery featured in the show inspired a positive response on twitter and a nostalgic dip into holiday memories.
