Rocket Science to inspire women to help other women for Oxfam
21-11-2011
The Rocket Science Team is working with international charity Oxfam to create the launch event for their 3-month long International Women’s Day (IWD) Campaign.
Featuring as the primary catalyst within a nationwide PR movement, the concept behind this launch event is to influence and inspire women throughout the UK to devise imaginative and creative get-togethers amongst their girlfriends on the 8th March, the date of International Women’s Day 2012.
The concept of a fundraising ‘get-together’ is the basis for the campaign, offering women across the UK an active role in raising funds to support vulnerable women across the globe through the simple idea of “getting the girls together”.
Clare Buckham, Project Manager at Rocket Science says, “We’re really excited that our event planning efforts will have a ripple effect to benefit women within the UK and around the world. We want to make it as simple, fun, inspiring and accessible as possible for women here to be able to help women elsewhere.”
Stay tuned to find out more about the ‘mother’ of IWD get-togethers and the celebrities, figureheads and the thousands of women around the country who will get stuck-in to create their own fundraising parties.
