Holiday Hit Squad returns to BBC One
Twofour has been commissioned to produce a second four part series of travel show, Holiday Hit Squad, with Angela Rippon, Helen Skelton and Joe Crowley.
The series, which peaked with over 4 million viewers during its BBC One run earlier this year, secures unique access to the toughest hotel inspectors in the business and explores how best to make sure holidays across the globe live up to their promise.
Across the series, we’ll meet professionals who help Brits abroad, unveil holiday horrors and heavens, and help restore faith in some unfortunate holidaymakers. We’ll also be pitting the best of British staycations against far flung vacations.
Andrew Mackenzie, Twofour’s Group Creative Director said: “We’re looking forward to building on the most successful elements of the first series and making Holiday Hit Squad a regular, returning BBC One brand.”
BBC’s Alison Kirkham said: “I’m delighted that Angela, Helen and Joe will be returning for more Holiday Hit Squad. From Watchdog through to Food Inspectors and now Holiday Hit Squad our aim on BBC One is to offer viewers the best consumer advice. If holidays go wrong it is hugely disappointing so it is fantastic to be bringing the same consumer help to peoples’ holidays.”
Holiday Hit Squad, ordered by Sam Bickley for the BBC, is executive produced by Neil Edwards and Bridget Sneyd for Twofour.
