The acclaimed show follows a group of queer women as they embark on their search for love in a stunning Italian masseria. Hosted by Dannii Minogue – AKA Cupid – and voiced by comedian Charley Marlowe, the series earned critical acclaim for its inclusive casting, authentic storytelling, and celebratory tone.

I Kissed a Girl stands as a proud addition to the flourishing ‘I Kissed…’ franchise, which launched with I Kissed a Boy in 2023.

Traveling aboard a blacked-out bus with no windows, phones, or access to maps, contestants must depend entirely on their powers of observation, sharp deduction skills, and collaborative teamwork to uncover their mysterious location.

Each episode builds to a crucial moment where players must place an “X” on a map, marking where they believe they are. The contestant whose guess proves furthest from the actual destination faces elimination. The winner who reaches Destination X scores $250,000.

Adapted from the successful Belgian format, Destination X combines adventure, strategic thinking, and mystery, featuring an engaging cast that includes everyday players and recognisable faces from shows like The Challenge and Love Island USA.

ITV Studios and Hulu have closed a package deal that will see it become the US home of the first two seasons of Twofour’s groundbreaking queer dating series I Kissed A…I Kissed a Boy is slated to premiere on Hulu on 15 June as part of the streamer’s “Hulu Has Pride” LGBTQ+ month-long celebration. Season two – I Kissed a Girl – will exclusively premiere on the US streamer later this year.

The award-winning I Kissed A Boy, which aired in 2023 was the UK’s first ever gay dating show. The second season, I Kissed A Girl, is currently airing in the UK and has been lauded by reviewers across the board. The launch episode exceeded BBC Three’s linear slot average for adults 16-24 by 290% as well as bringing in “lighter” viewers to iPlayer. Both seasons are hosted by the singer, TV star and LGBTQ+ ally Dannii Minogue.

In addition to Hulu, TV2 Echo and TV2 Play in Denmark and TVNZ in New Zealand have picked up both seasons of the show, and 10Play in Australia, VMI in Ireland, and YES in Israel have acquired I Kissed A Boy.

The BBC and NBC confirmed that Twofour will produce both versions of the hit adventure reality competition series “Destination X” for the US and UK following NBC’s greenlight of the series. The innovative series, based on the award-winning Belgian format, will combine spectacular adventure travel and immersive gameplay with the ultimate guessing game.

The NBC version will be co-produced with Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Building on its alliance and commitment to pioneering new models for the industry, Destination X marks the second commission between NBC and the BBC following the global phenomenon of The Traitors.

The series is based on the Belgian format created by Geronimo and distributed globally by Be-Entertainment. “Destination X “is one of the fastest-selling unscripted formats and has won several awards, including a Rose d’Or for best Competition Reality, as well as Best Competition Reality Format and Best Multi-Platform Format by C21.

Production on Destination X will begin later this year. Both the US and UK versions of the series will be filmed in tandem, with expectations to launch in 2025 across NBC and BBC One & iPlayer, respectively.

Merging fantasy with reality in this larger-than-life adventure competition series, viewers will follow contestants as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime but have no idea of their location. In order to win, they must figure out their mystery locations. Once they’re on the blacked-out Destination X bus, the journey transforms into a real-life board game, with challenges designed to offer clever clues as to their location, along with a few misdirects to keep them guessing.

At the end of each episode, the contestant who places an X on a map furthest from the actual location packs their bags. The first participant to reach Destination X will be crowned the winner. With high stakes and mind-blowing, spectacular gameplay, the series will keep viewers engaged and playing along on all screens.

A host will be named at a later date.

Destination X was created and produced by Geronimo, the award-winning team behind The Big Job Switch and Doctor Davy, and launched in Belgium in 2023 on commercial broadcaster VTM. It consistently won the Monday evening timeslot with an impressive 42% market share over the first eight episodes (18-44, Consolidated).
